October 13th, 2015 from 11:30a.m.-1:30p.m. at the Entrepreneurship Center in Orlando, Fl, we will be speaking about overcoming obstacles and focusing on winning! We will be sharing our experience with a panel composed of other successful entrepreneurs!
After announcing that we were NAWBO finalists last month, we were ecstatic to win first place in the “Established Business” category early September; winning on strategy, creativity, and innovation. Besides NAWBO, this year, we have been recognized by the U.S. Senate, the Hispanic American Professional & Business Women’s Association (HAPBWA) as a Distinguished Speaker, and nominated as the Business of the Year by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
2015 has been a very eventful year for us!
There are many books, articles, and literature available on what makes people successful…but despite the fact that there’s literature available for all, not all are disciplined enough to adopt a few good habits. Since the definition of insanity “is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results” according to Einstein, it’s always a good idea to get out of your comfort zone and try new things despite fear.
Seven women are going to share how they overcame tremendous obstacles and were able to be victorious in their journey. Our President, Zanibel Melo, will share how she has been able to turn Higher Dreams around and will expand on the importance of adopting a few good habits. Below are just a few:
Be solution focused.
It’s ok to be fearful like everyone else, but do not be controlled or limited by it.
Don’t rely on fate, destiny, chance or luck to determine or shape your future. Believe in, and commit to actively and consciously creating your own best life.
Adapt and embrace change.
Work hard and do not be lazy.
Be resilient. When most would throw in the towel, you should be warming up.
Be a team player.
