The CEO, Enrique Cabrera, identified that there’s a lot of money to be made online. However, his website was not generating the money that he hoped for. Enrique also identified that there’s a need for air conditioning and refrigeration training in Spanish. What product or service could the company launch to monetize their website? Branching out from a brick and mortar business to a virtual was a plausible idea.
The Strategy
Use Video to Monetize the Website
Enrique AC Training has created two air conditioning and refrigeration training videos, Volumes I and II, for students who want to get their EPA certification in Spanish. The DVDs are made available to buy through the company’s website and Amazon. Besides monetizing the website, Enrique AC Training has also saved money in hiring and training new instructors.
Results: Over $70,000 additional annual revenue
The first year video was implemented, Enrique AC Training has made well over $70,000 in revenue online for the first one thousand DVD copies. Due to the success of the first two projects, Enrique AC Training is looking to offer Live Video Streaming services for their students around North and South America. This will provide the company with additional income and an opportunity to interact with national and international students. Additionally, Enrique AC Training is looking to offer live streaming classes and product information to their customers, partners and employees. The technology will be also used to illustrate and promote new products and services for their air conditioning supply store.
